This page made me sad.
O_O Wow. Poor girl!
I kind of want to give Subria a hug now
Wow. That’s incredibly depressing.
So this isn’t just an ordinary situation where the one kid’s getting less attention than the other. At least one of her parents genuinely just loves her less. That’s rough.
I’m happy Subira is getting away from this woman. BRING ON THE ADVENTURE.
Well, in most cases. A mother KNOWS who their kid is. We haven’t seen how Idem’s mother reacts to him.
Eh… I don’t know about that. A mother knows who her kid is… BECAUSE SHE’S RAISED THEM FROM INFANCY. Not because of magic.
um…ouch. at least that means subira can go adventuring though
yeah, if I had any sadness about Subira leaving her home (i didn’t) it would be gone now.
I’d be sadder.
I’m sorry for Subira, but I’ll point out that this does fit into the pattern of “male children are better” that we’ve seen in this town’s attitudes. It might have absolutely nothing to do with who Subira is as a person, and everything to do with Magda being told (and shown) from infancy that sons are more important. If she had brothers, they were probably treated the way she now treats Gong. She was probably treated the way she now treats Subira.
Wow, getting what you want can hurt.
For a second I thought she knew, which is as depressing as the fact she didn’t.
