“How about we get it together while you actually answer my question, k?”
This would actually be a really disturbing development for a youngster who has just essentially run away with a stranger after giving all known family a fake story about her whereabouts. She has a spirit kitteh and an unreliable known family, so there are some obstacles between her and regret for her decisions, but in nonfiction world, this would be a big tell.
In story land, I would not be okay with just letting it end with “No one.” and “Trust me.” with most of the trip still ahead. In any case, it is lucky for Soma’s stock that the glut of orbs back in town is not known! :3
…Well that’s concerning.
I assume that’s some sort of spirit that’s been invisibly harassing Soma, but the other Guardians don’t seem to have that problem.
Then there’s her conspicuous silence about how exactly she became a Guardian. What sort of bargain did she make to get that Orb?
