Tale of Tamarind Guest Comic

I did a guest comic for my friend Perry for his webcomic The Tale of Tamarind.

Go read it!

Tamarind is an extremely cute character, I love her to death and she was super fun to draw. Seriously, she’s so cute! I may have to do some more Tama art to get it all out of my system. I’d describe Tale of Tamarind as an adventure/comedy set in a fantasy setting (elves/orcs/mages/magic swords) with emphasis on cute.

Perry fills the comic with humor and whimsy, and just the right amount of suspense.  I definitely recommend it. Also, just draw that character, it’s addictive!

Queen Tangerine Store

We want to take a brief minute to let our readers know about Queen Tangerine, a store run by our very own Samantha Kyle, who you may remember is part of the Little Guardians team. Queen Tangerine is a great place to find hand-made gifts and fibercraft as well as high quality art prints. You’ll even find a few of my prints in there as well! Just yesterday, Samantha released a NEW line of cool knit Dice Bags. Tell your gaming group, your dice will thank you.

You’ll occasionally hear more about Queen Tangerine here, especially when we start releasing Little Guardians merch and books since QT will be handling our sales and distribution. Check back in here, or friend us on Facebook, Twitter or G+ and you’ll be the first to know!

As always, thanks for reading!

Friends!

The holidays are upon us! Starting December 19th Lee is taking a winter break to work ahead on Little Guardians. While he’s gone, we’re going to have something cool and different, sent to us by friends of the comic, every update day (Mon-Wed-Fri) between December 19th and December 30th. We can’t wait to share the cool stuff our friends have sent us!

And to celebrate the occasion we’re leaving you with a TRIPLE UPDATE WEEK. You heard right! Monday the 12th, Wednesday the 14th and Friday the 16th will all be full comic page updates. How’s that for holiday spirit?

We return to business as usual Monday, January 2nd.

As always, thanks for reading!

Little Guardians on Comic Book Daily.com

We are excited to report Little Guardians was featured by Comicbookdaily.com in their Webcomics Walkabout column. The article, written by Chris Howard, gives a great introduction to our comic and makes some recommendations for other fantasy genre webcomics you might also enjoy.

Coincidentally, both other comics mentioned we are proud to count as friends of Little Guardians! Guilded Age by my long-time webcomic friend Phil Kahn (we used to be in a webcomic collective! Remember those!?) and Legend of Bill by David Reddick, a monumental talent in the cartooning industry and something like a local hero for us Indiana cartoonists for his work on Garfield, Gene’s Journal, Trek Life … he does a LOT of comics!

It really made my day to get to share some press with two creators I admire and whose work I look forward to reading every week.
